Friday, August 10th
9 am to 3 pm
Novice Clinic/Competition (time may vary depending on numbers) hosted by Josh Goldthorp (Top level Canadian Pro)

4 pm
Sheaf Challenge (Open to all registered competitors)
Men will toss a 20lb and Women will toss a 12lb burlap bag over a bar, set at a determined height. Each contestant will get 3 attempts at each height. The person with the highest successful toss wins.

Women 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, 3rd Place $50

Saturday, August 11th
9 am to mid-day
Men and Women Master Class Competition

12:30 to Completion (Competition will begin right after opening ceremonies)
Men and Women Open Class Competition

5 pm
Salmon BBQ (not included in Registration)($10 at the event or in advance at
www.campbellriverhighlandgathering.ca)

6 pm(ish)
Keg for height Challenge Event (Open to all registered competitors)
Men and Women will toss an empty Keg over a bar at a determined height. Each contestant will get 3 attempts at each height. The person with the highest successful toss wins.

Sunday, August 12th
9 am to mid-day
Men and Women Amateur Class Competition

9 am
Pole Push Contest (Open to all registered competitors)
Contestants will push at each end of a 12’ pole to try and force the other contestant out of the 24’ circle. Contestant’s names will be populated in a playoff-style bracket randomly. Contestants can wear gloves
and cleats. If a contestant lets go or drop the pole or fall down, that contestant is out.

11 am
Husafell Stone Challenge (Open to all registered competitors and walk-ons).
Contestants will pick up and carry a Husafell Stone as far as possible before dropping. The person who carries the stone the farthest is the winner. (This will be open to all competitors and anyone from the crowd that signs a waiver).

1 pm
Challenge Caber (Open to all registered competitors, not including novice, that successfully turned competition caber).
Any competitors who successfully turn the competition caber in their class (excluding novice) will have 3 chances to turn the challenge caber. The best score after 3 attempts win. Winning toss must be a successful turn not degrees.

2 pm
Log Press (Open to all registered competitors)
Contestants will clean and press a log overhead to lockout as many times as possible in 60 secs or to fail, whichever comes first.

At some point, during the weekend there will be a tug-of-war. Please see Adam at the Gathering if you want to be on a team.
